FRIENDS OF AŞIKLI SOCIETY

The Society was founded in November 2018 by a group of individuals from diverse backgrounds, who recognize and are interested in archaeology and cultural matters. Our activities are supported through volunteer contributions and donations and we have no ties with any large companies, institutions or individuals.

Our Vision is to ensure public awareness is created or increased to preserve, inform and adopt cultural and natural diversity, values and heritage.

Our Goal is to focus on the following areas  by means of research, education, art, communication and informational activities.

Focus areas:

• Support archaeological excavation at Aşıklı Höyük and provide and/or seek financial and other types of assistance for research work related to promotion, preservation and restoration of the site.

• Secure financial support and increase public awareness to promote  and preserve the cultural, natural and human heritage at Aşıklı Höyük and its environment 

• Support regional tourism and developmental  activities  in the vicinity of Aşıklı. 
• Develop international and national partnerships with public and private entities especially in the fields of art and education to promote interdisciplinary approach
